During my first year of Master, I chose Game Design course, because I’ve always been interested in games mechanicals and expecially in board games. The aim of the course was to design a tabletop game inspired by a myth.
My fellow students and I selected the myth of Loki from the Norsemen mythology. Starting from the interpretation of the story, we built a world related to the main features of the character: a double faced hero, the ruler of the balance between kindness and cruelty, but also a liar and cunning god. We represented these peculiarities setting the game in the world of a company, where every employee wants to achieve the role of leader. Players face one another using tricks, magic powers and strategy.
